Nestled in our ‘little orchard’, the Starlight Hideaway was handcrafted in Somerset by Blackdown Shepherd Huts, trusted builders of the most luxurious huts in the country. Crafted from the highest quality English oak, our Hideaway blends in perfectly with it’s leafy green surroundings.
After arriving, light up a cosy fire in the log burner and settle down with a cup of tea and recharge after your journey. After spending the evening toasting marshmallows by the outside firepit and seating area or relaxing in the hot tub, you can snuggle up under the stars on your full-size pull down double bed.
Wake up in the morning and head out for a walk to the picturesque riverbank, or drive a couple of minutes further east and spend some time at one of the beautiful sandy beaches nearby.
Dining at Starlight Hideaway
Our hut has a hand-built 4 person oak table covered with super warm & cosy sheep-skin bench covers. This area is perfect to day dream out the window over looking the East Yorkshire countryside, or diving into a selection of our favourite books & board games provided.
We have a beautiful fully kitted kitchen paired with a small Belfast sink, integrated hob and fridge, kettle, toaster, all essential kitchen utensils and crockery to make your stay stress-free. Our kitchen is styled with a gorgeous copper work top & black matt taps to add style to your stay.
When you arrive you will receive a welcome pack including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh homemade bread & a couple of Starlight Hideaway treats. We will also supply all logs, kindling & fire lighters for log burner & hot tub.
The hideaway has a beautiful private outside seating area, surrounded by apple trees, flowers and views for miles . You can eat al fresco or snuggle around our outdoor firepit, drink in hand before jumping in the large log fired hot tub to watch the sun go down. We have outdoor hot & cold taps to wash up or clean your muddy boots before retreating to your hut.
Relax & Stargaze at Starlight Hideaway
Our beautiful oak seating area magically transforms to your luxurious double bed through some clever engineering. Your super comfy bed is dressed with a wool duvet to perfectly regulate your body temperature and dressed with luxury Elizabeth Scarlett cotton sateen bed linen. Here you can layback, watch the world go by and enjoy stargazing through our amazing glass skylight. Even on a cloudy day you can lose yourselves amongst the stars, thanks to our twinkling celling lights that cover the whole hideaway roof.
There is nothing better than a real log fire, at starlight hideaway we will have full instructions on how to use our wood burning stove safely, with all logs, kindling & fire lighters provided. We will also show you upon arrival how to use the wood fired hot tub so you can get it nice and toasty ready for you to dive in relax, and stargaze.
Freshen up at Starlight Hideaway
Your own private toilet & shower room is also hidden in your shepherds hut, with a modern flushing toilet, marble black bowl sink, and a large gorgeous copper shower, it is glamping at its finest. We also include super soft towels, hair dryer & a starter set of luxury toiletries for your stay.
